We are beyond excited to welcome back Raghunath—the yogi formerly known as Ray Cappo, legendary lead singer of New York’s iconic 1990s straight edge hardcore bands Youth of Today and Shelter—to Three Boons Yoga Berlin - the yoga school formerly known as Jivamukti Berlin! After his inspiring visits in2016, 2071, 2018, 2019 and 2022, he returns once more to our Kreuzberg studio, which is now located in Nick Cave’s former Berlin home on Dresdener Str. 11.
Just before performing with his band Shelter to celebrate 30 years of their seminal punk album Mantra at Berlin’s quintessential punk club SO36 down the street from us, join Raghunath a.k.a. Ray Cappo at Three Boons Kreuzberg for an unforgettable evening of yoga, chanting, Q&A, and a book signing of his memoir From Punk to Monk.
Don’t miss this immersive 2 hour master class, where Raghunath will guide us through his signature floating vinyasa sequence, advanced āsana transitions, and spiritual teachings. He is prana hunter, animal friendly, transcendence in training, born to give - to live today; full contact fighter, devours durians, loves to chant, likes a challenge, servant of the servants, harmonium hugger, conscious of Krishna.
Raghunath born Ray Cappo was a Lower East Side hardcore-punk singer songwriter icon, touring the globe in his teens. In a decadent music scene infested with hard drugs, negativity and intoxication he was an anomaly and a light propounding clean living, positive attitude and vegetarian lifestyle, inspiring tens of thousands of fans internationally. Since his youth he was fascinated with Eastern thought and took his inspiration from Emerson, Ghandi, Thoreau, The Buddhist Sutras, The Bible and the Bhagavad Gita.
He started practicing yoga in NYC in 1987 with the esteemed Sri Dharma Mittra as well as Shivananada Yoga. The pettiness of the business of music and the untimely death of his father led him to India in 1988 where he dove deeper into the lifestyle and spirituality of India. He became a celibate monk at a Krishna Bhakti Ashram for 6 years where he intensely studied, meditated and lived the ancient yogic texts. In 1991 in the sacred village of Vrindavan he was awarded the name Raghunath and two years later in that same holy town awarded diksha or the sacred thread, for his study. Now, almost 30 years later, he's an accomplished yogi in many styles, and married with five children. He leads retreats, workshops and yoga teacher trainings around the world. He is an expert at taking the esoteric yoga philosophy and making it understandable and practical for the contemporary world. Recent press includes Details, Rolling Stone, the New York Times & New York Magazine, Yoga Journal Italy & Germany, Modern Day Dads as well as Time Out New York.

RESERVATION PROCEDURE: Due to the limited number of spaces available for workshops we only accept binding reservations with full pre-payment of the workshop fees. With full payment of the workshop fee you are firmly booked for the workshop (we reserve the right to turn down registrations in case an event is sold out; in this case the date/time of receipt of the full payment is relevant). In case you cannot come, you can name another person who can come instead of you.
By booking workshops with us, you are accepting our standard booking conditions for workshops and seminars. Please note: Once we received your payment your spot at the workshop is firmly booked and the workshop fee cannot be refunded. Specifically, there is not right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) for bookings of special events like workshops/masterclasses However, if you are prevented to come, you can name a replacement person, who has not yet registered with us, who can come instead of you. In case the workshops sell out, spots will be given in the order the payment is received. We suggest to reduce your financial risks that you cannot come to a workshop you booked by buying a workshop- and seminar insurance.
